An interesting story on the legal implications of linking appears in today's New York Times. I dare not link (hehe) so here's an excerpt:

"A crucial aspect of online journalism is the ability to garnish articles with links that refer readers to sites related to newsworthy issues. But suppose one of those sites contains material alleged to be illegal. Is the publisher who did the linking in hot water? "
