"The client sends a request to a server that comprises a Universal Resource Locator ("URL") that identifies a script, an object class, and a function of the object class to invoke."

Actually, to me that sounds a *lot* like XML-RPC. Or how some pages are generated in Frontier (and Perl, and Python, and ...).
