Read Joel's excellent review of Microsoft Passport. If this is true, we should all be worried.

After you read that, here's a scary thought: Microsoft controls Passport, and it also has FrontPage, arguably the most popular web management software. How much time before "PassPort extensions" show up in FrontPage? Turned on, by default, of course. Very hard to turn off, or impossible to turn off. Scary...
