The issue is not semantic but practical. Crooks don't play by Marquis of Queensbury rules. You may not consider Microsoft Word to be a part of your operating system's "security", but if someone can use a Word macro virus to erase all the files that you have permission to erase, then you have a security problem related to Microsoft Word.
