It's very easy to do. There is no problem at all mixing standard BSD calls in a Carbon app running under Mac OS X.

I asked the same question on the Script Meridian list and Leonard Rosenthol said that it could be fairly easy for Timothy Paustian to add this functionality.

So, I hope that UserLand will consider adding this functionality to Frontier. Please.... :)
