Too often it seemed that the maps were slow, lagging far behind the results - even on sites where the results tables were pretty much up to date.
That's a P2P application. Raw election results in XML, rendering on your desktop where you own all the CPU cycles. It's the way rich user interfaces work with Internet-based information.
