I have to nominate http://www.freerepublic.com . On election night, it was a collaborative community weblog, with lots of politically committed people logging what they were seeing on television. Interesting local stuff about alleged vote fraud. And enough over-the-top attitude to keep it amusing even for someone on the opposite side of the political fence.User interface was simple: Newest post on the top, with links to carry on discussiosn relating to each post. Constant refreshes proved much more useful than on CNN.
And it's still refreshing the morning after.
