The major news agencies have agreed on a method of encoding news stories using XML, called News Industry Text Format.http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/stories/tech/1999/may/04/050400332.html
"NITF coding can be used to mark parts of articles -- names of newsmakers, for example -- to make it easier for search engines to identify them. It can also be used to automatically identify the story's headline, editor's note and writer's byline, for example."
Looks like a great possiblity for using a certain Content Management System... :-D
