Hey Dave, I think you'd like this new util from IBM:

"DDbE (Data Descriptors by Example) is a Java component library for inferring a DTD or Schema from a set of XML instances. People can easily learn how to author well formed XML, however, the learning curve really increases when XML developers have to write a DTD. For the beginner, DDbE automatically produces a DTD from a set of well formed XML documents."
