If he didn't want to appear, he shouldn't have said anything.

I don't want to have a long discussion with mutual arguments. But just for my information, sometimes need to protect their jobs, or have personal reasons to be hidden. I don't want to judge these reasons, but is there a notion of the anonymous source for the security of the source ?
