Mac OS Rumors: "In a related note, MOSR has received information from Apple sources which indicates that Apple may be planning to open-source parts of the Applescript technology layer in the hopes that it will not only be extended further, but that it will be adopted by new platforms because of its superior ease of use and flexibility to many existing scripting environments." Interesting if true!
