there is a great conference held once a year about true digital asset management. it is hosted by EC2, the annenberg incubator project at USC.

here is a link to the upcomming one....

the attendees are wide ranging, from folks with content including major analog publishers to the largest hardware/software vendors such as Sun, etc.
