DNS via XML-RPC: Why?
DNS is actually a pretty nice protocol. DNS resolvers are generally a standard part of a TCP stack, and most operating systems provide a pretty simple interface to it (on Unix, it tends to be gethostbyname and gethostbyaddr). Why not just expose the OS interface to the scripting environment, instead of wrapping DNS packets in an XML-RPC packet? I'm missing something...
