"Amazon, having enraged the Webheads after registering and enforcing a half-witted software patent, seems to be disappearing from Webhead Web sites, to be replaced largely by FatBrain and somewhat by Barnes & Noble. Amazon, although having given Cluetrain a rave review, seems to have missed the point of the book."

I'll bet those Webheads will shortly find that their affiliate dollars drop dramatically. The Computer Book Publishing List (a mailing list for computer book authors) has had several discussions about this, and the consensus has been that the online book buying public trusts Amazon and prefers to buy there over all else by a large margin.
