hmm, what if all of the editthispage.com sites could have this sort of functionality? I could pick and choose "views" from various editthispage.com areas, and build my own meta site....

Very do-able. All the sites are in the same database namespace. A server-side script could put them together in any way you can imagine. There's the difficult part. What would be your ideal interface? Really spend some time thinking about this.
