This is cool. I know it's been discussed for some time now, and I'm glad to hear it's about to happen!

Question: If a clone-able site uses a GEM for javascript or CSS, etc., does a clone of that site copy the GEM as well? If so, is using GEMs wherever possible the preferred way to set up a site as a template/theme?
