I recall arguments earlier this year for dividing MS along other lines:

• Consumer vs. OEM business.
• Server vs. client.
• Products vs. services.
• Or carving into two companies sharing ownership of intellectual property on mitosis day.

The current DoJ proposal seems to retain all the MS monopolies, in smaller packages. Can someone explain what the DoJ believes the split can accomplish?
