Carbonized Frontier question

I'm wondering... if you carbonize Frontier, will you even have a market for a non-Carbonized version?

Carbonized Frontier should run just fine from 8.1 forward on PPC hardware.

How many users are running pre-8.1 OS and how many are running 68k still? Seems that the introduction of OT code would already exclude many of those users.
