I just realized something about napster, gnutella, etc. They all assume that your destination location is your own hard drive. It would be great if you could set another location as your download location - so perhaps while you're at home you could send songs/etc. to your work computer (with the faster pipe) then when you got to work or whatever you could take advantage of it there. Or maybe your friend's computer that you have permission to crossload to...

Peer to Peer should be "any peer to any peer"

'nother though: what if you combined p2p with ebay. Someone really want some bits (game, image, whatever) and you auction it off, then whomever wins goes to paypal, pays, auto recieves a temporary IP address to connect to, then downloads the thing. payment for bits...
