I hate Real Player too, but we'll do a driver architecture, so we all have a choice.

Maybe Apple should do a SDK? Maybe someone here knows someone at Apple. This is big missing piece on the Mac, which last I heard, is a multimedia machine.

And it's possible it's there and we don't know about it.
