Many Olympians at this month's Sydney games will have a memorable and moving experience, but they'll be limited in how they tell you about it according to this CNN story. Letting athletes keep web diaries would mean they were "acting as a journalist", whatever that means. It seems as if the people most qualified to comment on the experience will have the most restrictions on how they can tell their stories.

This comes on top of earlier news that online services will not be allowed access to the Games in the interest of protecting television rights.
