Dave Winer: We've got a web app that coughs up all its data.Cool, I love it. Two days ago Luther Huffman emailed me to discuss primarily the topic of data captivity in web apps, with an eye to developing new ones that give control to users. I'm still cooking up my response. How far do I want to go in eroding business models of web apps with captive data models? I know it will make folks come at me swinging crowbars or patents at my head, or something.
