Well it crosses over a little into the last millenium, but the Dalai Lama would make a good choice. He is recognized as the 14th incarnate, so theoretically he has been here throughout this one. His message of compassion for all sentient beings is a powerful one. One that was not as well heard throughout this millenium, but would make a good goal for the next.
