I like all of your ideas! Yeah, it means another change to the caching system, but it's an easy one for the user to deal with.

As to the error: the problem is that Tonto is not multi-threaded. You're pressing a button in Tonto, which sends an AppleEvent to Frontier, which in turn sends another event to Tonto... before returning a reply to the first event.

I think I can fix it, though. :-)
