What about:
- Frontier serverside for linux.
- VA research 2u rackmount server. (p2, ++ram ++disk).
- Stripped linux distribution.
- Net connection.
What do I mean by frontier serverside?
A faceless app that runs as a daemon, using xml-rpc to communicate with a Frontier workstation running on someone's desk.
As for the stripped distribution, rip everything out of the system except for ssh and apache/ssl. (could probably be done in a couple of megs.)
Make it so that when it ships, you point your frontier workstation at it and replicate some set of gdb's. Once they're copied over, you've got a functioning Frontier Appliance.
