If the navigation or other framework elements that structure the content differ for the two locations, wouldn't you build two separate pages with the same content? (Unless you choose to use frames, SSI's, or another at-time-of-request protocol.)For example, I bet it would be easy for Dave to render his current DaveNet piece differently at davenet.userland.com than at davenet.userland.com/1999 or davenet.userland.com/1999/03/nameOfArticle.
Sometimes you do want the content in two places... usage analysis is the only thing that comes to mind at the moment.
