Would it be possible to combine the search features of search.userland.com with rss channels?

What I am looking for is this: I type in a query about something. userland then "saves" this query as a channel. I then subscribe to that channel and I then see as news listings the top 10 or so search results. It's like a cross between a persistent search and a customized newsletter....
