This is great!It would also be helpful for you to validate the size of the image. Some of us do use these pictures in our apps/tools. The spec says 88x31. About 2/3 of the channels on my.userland.com actually have images of this size.
Scripting.com's icon is the wrong size (40x78).
Victoria Weather is 94x185.
And Mikel's house of style is a whopping 320x240 (and its not a really pretty picture, either :-).
