Scarfing has come up as an issue here because some people are reading the HTML of My.UserLand.Com and turning it into XML and offering their XMLization to the public.

They may not be aware that we've already provided an XML flow of the stories.

So it's simply good manners to read the XML files instead of generating new ones.
