About ESR, I think he's an opportunist. He's a dark leader. A fanatic. Not a contributor. Now Linus, there's a hero! If ESR went to work for Microsoft I'd say Bravo! If Linus went to work for Microsoft, I'd retire to the Mediterranean, probably Italy, and assume the lifestyle of potter.
