PacBell is blaming proud parents for email outages. See this Mercury News story."What we're seeing is video streaming, audio files, people sending pictures of their kids," said Pac Bell spokesman John Britton.Traditional VAR SPOOL/ POP servers do well with lots of tiny messages and not large blobs. The trend toward large attachments goes back to the mid-1990s with multi-megabyte PowerPoint attachments being the pre-MP3 culprits. IMAP, anyone?
