I knew someone would say this..

But it isn't about software or source code, it's about minds.

Sure, we could add hooks to Apache to connect to a CMS, but that's not the issue. It's organizing the work of software developers around the needs of writers, designers, graphics people and readers.

They're doing the wrong model, everywhere, except at Microsoft and UserLand. Why do you think Bill Gates is jumping up and down so much. He gets it. Who else does??

We want to share what we know. We want other implementations. Compete with us Brian. Go for it. Make me miserable for being so greedy. Do it do it.

(BTW, I'm sure my friends at Microsoft are laughing as they read this.)

PS: It made no sense for Netscape to support OpenDoc. It was the other way around. Netscape should have bought Apple and made their browser what OpenDoc was supposed to be.
