GoZilla is subsidized through Radiate advertising. Radiate Network-'enabled' applications apparently send some sort of data back to Radiate periodically... and worse. There's plenty of info on it at Steve Gibson's site.

In addition to all that, the premise is ridiculous, it's horribly unstable and it's also nearly impossible to uninstall.

Mmm... quality engineering...
