I'm just a vector. Fast Company this month talks about getting your idea out and having it catch on like a 'virus'. The article itself seeks to do this as well (self referential - perhaps using it's own concepts).

Seems like this might be of some interest here.

(later update: main site) I would say the rise of napster, ebay, and things like that are good examples of idea viruses.
