That's the ticket. I think we need a new brand name that conveys simplicity, that can be used in conjunction with other brand names as a modifier.I absolutely agree. That's one of the take-aways from the ICE meeting I went to yesterday.
There must be a discontinuity, so that it can't get sucked into the "What is RSS?" debate. The migration path should be clear. If you're moving forward with RSS, you must go with the approach favored by the "RSS-DEV" list.
I think the people who want to make it about personalities now have a home, and that creates space for new work to begin to start a new format, that can be migrated to by RSS 0.91 people, but is not called RSS. That's one of the reasons I cried uncle, I could see that we were never going to get anywhere by arguing about what RSS is.
