The one problem that I see with this is that you are now letting anyone see guaranteed good email addresses without first logging in and providing an email address of their own.

This provides good fodder for an address spider to harvest for UCE purposes.

Perhaps there can be an alternate template that only provides the author's name, not their email, when you are cookieless?
