No inner (or outer) children. No spring musings from the rose garden. No silly, self-serving analysis of sexual, national or software industry politics or awkward comparisons among them. Most important, no sales pitches or marketing presentations.

What is DaveNet if not a unique combination of fact and opinion with a little bit of salesmanship? Hey Chris Nolan, your column's a great read, but don't demean yourself by taking potshots at other media figures or their audiences.

Dave, how about being able to be mentioned by first name only in a major US paper? Isn't that normally reserved for people like the President of the United States, the Mayor of New York, certain royalty, and perhaps, Bill Gates?
