Membership w/o Cookies

I was wondering if there is a way to do MR based membership without using cookies? I want to allow Palm VII users to post to a DG using a PQA, but PQAs don't have cookies. Can I use postargs or pathargs? Will MR even allow this? Any suggestions are gladly welcomed.

Thanks for any insight you can give me.
