why is there no (or little) discussion about thatBecause the media prefers quick, easily-digested tidbits, rather than in-depth coverage.
It would take time to cover his record, but they can fill a newscast talking about the fact that he's the first Jewish VP nominee, and the implications of his being Orthodox.
Besides, they can talk about anyone's record. Lieberman's faith makes him unique.
