Pardon my cynicism, but this "news" reeks of desperation from the *other* ticket using the time-tried tactic of the grapevine to derail the opposition's recent gains.

Actually, these days it might just be some misguided soul who decided to 'help' the Gore campaign out, without their knowledge or approval. The Gore campaign aren't the only people with email.

That said, it certainly seems like a rumor planted by *someone*.
