But would Mozart and Shakespeare be able to touch our lives without the dissemination of their works in print? For sure, we can buy discs of musical recordings, but imagine having to print a Mozart symphony or a Shakespeare play without movable type. Or: name a great musician, or dramatist, from the years between 1000 and 1300.
