I've used StarOffice5.0 for NT, Linux, and Solaris. Very high degree of compatibility with Office97(win) and 98 for mac. I pulled in powerpoint presentations from 97 and 98 without a hitch except a screwed up gradient in a drawing object. A license for our *entire* university (all supported platforms) was only $1000 a year!
