Ah.. okay. I was thrown off by the references to all of the Xml-Rpc "enabled" languages.

FWIW, the way to do this with KDE is:

KIOJob *job = new KIOJob; connect(job, SLOT(sigData(int,const char*)), this, SIGNAL(slotData(int, const char*))); job->get("http://nirvan.userland.com/myUserLand/staticRendering/service0008.html");
