This is an interesting article from David Sims:
The protocol wonks of the World Wide Web Consortium get impassioned debating the merits of transport layers and the relative benefits of "XML-RPC versus SOAP." How could they have begotten the Hamster Dance and the Mahir phenomenon?

It's interessant because for the people who are in Amsterdam, It strongly demonstrate to take with precaution the words of journalists. There are differences in interpreting people's reactions and commentaries of people participating the conference.
