I think that the "Note" icon would be a better visual cue, but that still violates the usage philosophy. Wouldn't hurt to ask them about it.

The black dot image is not at all intuitive. The link title helps, but Communicator doesn't support that. An alt tag on the image would provide the same effect and should work with all browsers on all platforms.

ps: Since the image is providing a permanent link to the item described to the left of it, how about using a left-arrow? Still not perfectly intuitive (probably nothing would be), but it would fit in nicely with the rest of the QBullets logic.

pps: Communicator doesn't like the anchor names either. The leading "#" needs to be removed from the anchor name.
