Linux for Dummies?
Author: Brent Simmons Posted: 12/3/1998; 5:46:59 PM Topic: Linux for Dummies? Msg #: 749 Prev/Next: 748 / 750
I've got a LinuxPPC machine set up. But I'm not set up -- I don't know how to use it. I can get as far as booting in KDE and running Netscape (that's where I am at the moment). But I want to do things like configure Apache. (I want to run the WebDAV module.)
I can't even figure out how to browse the file system, or figure out what's running on the machine. Where's Perl? Etc.
Does anyone know where I can find extremely basic tutorials for getting comfortable with Linux? The Linux resources I've found so far assume that I know more than I know. I know nothing.
