Hyde and the CDA

As Dave said, it's hard to pin the CDA on anyone voting for the omnibus Telecommunications act. However we can gauge a legislator's views via their committee votes while the CDA was separate piece of legislation and while negotiations to add it to the Telecom bill.

I will need to review some old messages from the various lists where we were discussing the response to the CDA, as well as congressional records, but I *think* Hyde was responsible for amendments which criminalized discussions of abortion over electronic networks.
