Actually, there is, I just happened to find it in the last few days: http://www.dstc.edu.au/Products/Fnorb/

Also, on the "Scripting CORBA" front, have a look at: http://www.berlin-consortium.org/docs/dish.pdf

It's actually scripting the Fresco toolkit, but the interface is specified through IDL. You may also be interested in: http://corbaweb.lifl.fr/CorbaScript/index.html

I think this shows that CORBA is not "stone-age" technology as far as scripting goes. Quite the opposite in fact.
